Easily the most off-beat Six Organs Of Admittance album yet, The Manifestation reveals itself as this majestic psych juggernaut. These two tunes are HUGE and all-encompassing. I wouldn't be surprised if this one left many bewildered Chasny fans scratching their heads. Some shorter passages might remind you of Chasny's usual folk leanings, but most of the album is submerged in some of the most acidic solutions known to man and should be handled with care if you don't want it's corrosive abilities to eat away at your brain. This is some incredibly trippy stuff and I would even go as far as saying that it rivals with the legendary First Utterance by creepy folksters Comus. The Sixth Station is probably one of the weirdest songs by Chasny... EVER!. His guitar playing might be more recognizable here, but the wall-to-wall presence of infernal vinyl scratches and David Tibet's (of Current 93) dark poetry might prove a tad perplexing for most.
