The first ten minutes of this album are the most peaceful moments in all of My Cat Is An Alien's career. A soft, shimmering drone gently fades in as the usual toy gun sounds slowly surface and disappear as the song progresses. Roberto's ghost-like vocals have time to join in before the song becomes the expected noise-fest we all know and love. There are some interesting and very weird guitar loops later in the second half of the song which remind me of a more spaced-out, early Sonic Youth. The single tune eventually slows down once again as it settles into a never ending loop of guitar chimes for the last few minutes. The duo's fifth release in 2006 and there was more to come! This is also the first time I purchase something from the Ikuisuus label based in Finland (they also act as an online record shop).
