The third installment in The Melvins' "commercial suicide" triad of releases finds the group collaborating with a series of artists and friends for each track. The results are quite eclectic to say the least. It all starts off with a quite faithful rendition of Nirvana's notorious Smells Like Teen Spirit with Leif Garret behind the microphone. Just two songs later, we are treated to a classic country hymn with Ramblin' Man (and later Okie From Muskogee) sung by Hank Williams III. G.I. Joe is a very Patton-esque tune which sounds like pretty much everything else the man has been doing since the late nineties. Not much Melvins meat on these bones. The most surprising song from the album however is Divorced, their collaboration with Tool (a group I simply cannot stand anymore). At almost fifteen minutes in length it's one heavy epic track. My personal favorite tracks on the album however are the two songs with Jesus Lizard's David Yow (Blockbuster - Ouch)!
