The same woman who sings on The Living End appears here again. I'm pretty sure it's not Nancy from the pre-Blue Corpse albums. Half of the album is in the same vein as it's predecessor with catchier chord progressions. The songs feel structured and dynamic (check out I May Not Be Around). Quite slick. Only trouble is the strong separation between both left and right channels again. At least all the instruments are audible this time if compared to On The Way. Pastimes uses the same arpeggio from I'll Sit Alone And Think A Lot About You. As for the other half of the album... It's completely insane! Om has to be heard to be believed (sounds like he just discovered the soundtrack to 2001!)! Bring It In A Manger with it's "genitals in paper cups" is completely twisted and You Sing A Song is mind-numbingly irritating. My second favorite after Interstellar Discussion. Very warped. |
