Album Cover

This sounds like a huge step backward for Jandek. The first few songs on the album sound a lot like he did back when he came out with Staring At The Cellophane and Living In A Moon So Blue. It's mostly Jandek plucking away on his electric guitar. The drums come in only after Real Fine Movement and he plays his patented mutated blues on Alehouse Blues. Then comes the best song on the album: Upon The Grandeur: a slow, moody, lounge-like number with fun guitar noodling over Jandek's whispered vocals. The rest of the album is forgettable slow jams. Except for Upon The Grandeur, which I strongly suggest to check out, the album sounds somewhat sub-par with the slew of recent creativity found on other releases.
