Jandek plays solo acoustic guitar again, but this time around you can actually tap your feet to most of the songs. Once again, about the first ten songs sound practically the same. He appears to be trying to play a blues tempo using only open string strumming on his guitar. No need to say this sounds pretty screwed up. The title track and You Didn't Lie are the albums highlights. After the monster that was Interstellar Discussion however, this tenth album leaves me feeling somewhat disappointed. The only other thing which I've noticed about this one is how much darker the lyrics are. An OK listen, even for newbies, but I can't say I really like this one. |
