Was this recorded on some really old four-track found in someone's dusty basement? This could very well be some long lost recordings by the Theater Of Eternal Music: the hiss, the viola drones... I think I can hear some electronic organ in there somewhere as well. GHQ to me, are a flashback to those obscure psychedelic gems of past generations. They certainly don't sound recent at all and La Poesia Visiva is a perfect example. These four extended drone jams might be extremely lo-fi, but the ensuing warmth give these recordings an unforgettable vintage vibe to their work. I suggest listening to this album in the dark, with the volume cranked up a few notches, lie down on the floor and close your eyes. These songs will have you sinking through the floor and down a few flights of stairs and soon enough you will lose all notion of space and time.
