Electric Wizard
From the side of Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard was molded and born. Using the same, down-tuned sound and snail-paced tempo of their forefathers, the foursome became a part of the whole doom/stoner revival of the mid-nineties and found their way into definite doom label Southern Lord roster of artists alongside SunnO))) and Boris. Less interested in experimentation, Electric Wizard has that classic doom metal sound with touches of greasy rock. I remember hearing from this band way back when I started checking out the whole Southern Lord scene and downloaded an album or two, but it was only in 2009, after finding a used copy of Supercoven that the band found it's way into my collection.
