Album Cover

Considering I can't stand the title track to this "album" which served as a the basis to the 1968 animated feature film directed by George Dunning, it's a wonder I even bought this album, but seeing as a I was going to get The Beatles complete album discography and that it was re-remastered along with all the other re-issues from 2009, I figured it had a place in my collection. Besides the cover however, there isn't much to enjoy for me on this record. This soundtrack includes the title track, taken from Revolver and adds four new tracks (at the time). Even the classic All You Need Is Love leaves me unimpressed. I thought I might appreciate the second half of the record, which is the actual George Martin score for the film, but even it sounds pretty standard and even annoying at times. There is an excerpt of Pachelbel's Canon In D in there which managed to make me forget about the rest of the album for a few seconds, but then mocked me seconds later.
